Signs
In the
movie “Signs” you can see a lot of themes that occurs. One That I liked the most
is the loss of faith. During the movie, the principal characters and also all
the people in the world are scared during the whole movie, this happens because
some aliens arrived to the earth. The scenes don’t show you a lot about the
aliens and what they wanted to do. The main scene occurs in the house of Graham
who is a priest whose wife just died in a traffic accident. Because of that
tragedy the priest is almost losing his faith.
During the
movie, the family is steel believing in their beliefs and they keep trying to
live, never giving up. Perhaps there is a lot of fear to the unknown but in the
normal life, people always are looking for something to believe, or something
to live for, and that’s where our spirituality comes. In the life, there are
always ups and down that probably are going to change everything you have
believed. But you need to stay strong at
your beliefs, because that is the only individual and private thing you
probably are going to have and that no one can take away from you so easily.
During the movie the priest loses his beliefs, and in the last dinner they
have, he didn’t want to say any prayer because the only things he wants to do
in that moment was enjoy his meal. He only wanted to enjoy some earthly
pleasure, and take away his beliefs.
Personally
I like that people stay focused and strong to their beliefs, which means it is
a loyal and sincere person. This movie shows us how in some extreme times, you
need to stay strong in what you think, because these are the things that make
you who you really are.
